Description
Note - AutoResponder relies on notifications for auto reply to work. Most users usually have notifications enabled so should work straight out of the box but
otherwise please make sure notifications are enabled
Most Android phones now come with an option to automatically reply via SMS when you miss a call. Now, you can do that with WhatsApp messages.
It works as you’d expect: set up a custom message, choose the apps you want to use this with, and toggle auto-reply on. When someone pings you on your selected apps, it’ll
automatically send out your text and let you know the task’s been taken care of with a silent notification
It even works with group chats – which is both a blessing and a curse, since it’ll reply on your behalf with an unnecessary ‘Sorry I can’t reply just now.’ You’ll be hearing
about that one from your work pals or college buddies, whoever you’re stuck in a group conversation with, for a while.
To be clear, you can specify how long the app should wait before it auto-replies to the same sender, and it’s set to immediate by default. So no, it won’t reply to every
single incoming message on a group chat on its own, and you can avert that issue by increasing that time interval.
AutoResponder also promises to auto-reply in other apps like Telegram, Messenger and Webex. As for WhatsApp, I’d certainly want more granular control over which
conversations it replies to (or to be able to exclude group chats from auto-replies), and a timer to automatically disable the app – but those features aren’t available yet
in this beta
This app is not associated with any company including WhatsApp, Facebook, Signal.
